New: Financial Committee

Hi Fellow Neighbors,
As we all know, a key for success is being prepared for the future by careful planning. Your Board has developed and approved the mission for a new committee called the RDC Financial Planning Committee. As such, the committee is charged with developing short and long term financial planning for our community.
The purpose of the committee is to review actual to budget balances and spending; assessment collection; project funding; and development of ideas to better invest Capital account monies and forecast Operational spending. Review any capital purchases from the stand point of funding strategy and account balance management to ensure the Operating, Capital budgets remain solvent.
Once the Committee is staffed, meetings will most likely be monthly for the first few months. Once established, however, meetings would be quarterly to discuss ideas, plans, what’s working and not working, etc. The committee will be a great way the Board will be kept aware of the community’s fiscal health as well planning for future growth and amenities.
We are looking for volunteers to join the committee. This is a wonderful way to contribute to the community we live in.
